====== Personal Protection Disruptor (PPD) ======

The Personal Protection Disruptor, or PPD, is a battlefield protection device that emits a field capable of scrambling any creature with a nervous system.  It isn’t fatal, but when waking up after getting pasted by a PPD you might wish it had been.

The PPD is usually worn as a belt, and the diameter of the field can be adjusted.

[[characters:Jemmy]] uses one supplied by [[characters:Rust]] to protect himself from ‘Claimer soldiers while he operates [[characters:Chrome]]’s [[elements:DownBeat]] rig on the balcony of [[locations:Ambara Down:The Damselfly|the Damselfly]] during the events of [[stories:year one:Chromium Maneuvers]].  It ruins the day of at least two ‘Claimers.
