The Personal Protection Disruptor, or PPD, is a battlefield protection device that emits a field capable of scrambling any creature with a nervous system. It isn’t fatal, but when waking up after getting pasted by a PPD you might wish it had been.

The PPD is usually worn as a belt, and the diameter of the field can be adjusted.

Jemmy uses one supplied by Rust to protect himself from ‘Claimer soldiers while he operates Chrome’s DownBeat rig on the balcony of the Damselfly during the events of Chromium Maneuvers. It ruins the day of at least two ‘Claimers.
